When you first opened your brand new PS3 there is a sense of joy and nostalgia. It sort of reminds you of the first Nintendo you owned. Seeing the crisp grey and white box. Plugging in that controller for the first time and hitting power. I was a Nintendo child, a pre-teen Sega Genesis fan and finally a teenage Playstation gamer. The year was 1995 and I recall titles such as Battle Arena Toshinden, Tekken, Tomb Raider, and many others so fondly.  So when I cracked open my PS3 it was a nice little trip down memory card lane. That is, until I wanted to play and realized the controllers did not take batteries but needed to be charged.  The only way to play is to charge your controller with a wire that reaches about one foot away from your system. Between all the updates you have to do every time the system is booted, the controllers that need charging right out of the box and the one foot long charge wire it came with I really think Sony does not want anyone to play their system. They just want consumers to marvel at the sheer black finish and microwave size. Oh Blue-ray popcorn, don’t mind if I do!

“Insert the game disc, update your system, charge the controller, and in four whole hours you could be setting up your PSN account, creating your own avatar, and interior decorate your Playstation Home! By the way did you know this system plays video games? What will they think of next? Controllers that take AA batteries and updates that last no longer than thrity seconds once a month?”
